I greatly enjoyed your In Praise of Drudgery article in today’s Boston Globe. I’ve always been a big fan of libraries, including being fascinated by odd books in musty corners (that smell!). I was an early bird remote tech worker in the early 2000s who donated a wifi router to my local library so I could work from there in afternoons and not feel so alone, but would inevitability read a few random pages of random books and talk to a librarian too. I like parts of how libraries have become more active communities and shared workspaces, but sometimes wish people would pay more attention to the books and slow down.
